Piglets

Our 14 piglets are still thriving and enjoying outdoor life.  Lou and Boris (Mum and Dad) have been renewing their friendship!

PYO Season

After feasting on superb quality asparagus, the PYO season is well underway and the strawbs have never been better.  We shall have raspberries for the shop until the end of October.

Blueberries

We have planted blueberry bushes, to be ready for cropping in July 2010.

Sunday Roast

Now a 20 food mile meal, but still only £7.95 for two courses of largely Hungersheath produce.

Booking is recommended on 01630 674261.

Flavours of the month

Mediterranean platters are now being served in the Tea Room as a seasonal special, alongside quintessentially English Eton Mess, with our own strawbs/rasps of course!

We grow a large variety of fruit over many acres of land so you can always find the best quality fruit to pick your own.

We have been growing pick your own fruit since 1967, we were the first in the area mad enough to try it!

Each year for the shop we grow:

14 acres of asparagus
4 acres of Strawberries (1/4 acres poly tunnels, autumn strawberries)
1/2 of an acres of Raspberries (1/4 acres poly tunnels, autumn raspberries)
1/4 of an acres of Blackcurrant and Redcurrants
1/4 of an acres of Gooseberries

Strawberries Our season for strawberries now extends from mid June until the end of July. We grow four acres of strawberries for picking your own or ready picked for sale in the farm shop.
Rasberries The main raspberry season is a little later, and shorter than that of the strawberries with July being the main picking period. We also have some later raspberries, the Autumn raspberries that we pick in September and October - huge, sweet, juicy and delicious! Our raspberries which are some of the finest and tastiest in the region so come pick some of your own!
Blackcurrents Our blackcurrants and redcurrants ripen in July and are very good at "hanging" on the bush ready and ripe to pick until you have time to visit us and pick them straight from the bushes or purchase from the farm shop. We have 1/4 of an acres of black and redcurrants so there is plenty of fruit to go around.
Gooseberries Gooseberries are the earliest ripening of the soft fruits and according to taste can be harvested from mid June until late July. We have 1/4 of an acres of gooseberries which stay ripe and tasty throughout the season.
